YOUR ADVENTURE BEGINS
Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha Transfer
Meet and transfer from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha town. Dinner and overnight at The African Tulip Hotel.
Day 2: Arusha – Marangu – Mandara
Early breakfast and departure for Kilimanjaro National Park – Marangu Gate (1760m). Registration and preparations for the climb. By 11h00 trekking starts for Mandara Hut (2727m) with picnic lunch, arriving by 15h00. An optional tour of Maundi Crater (approximately I hour both ways) may be undertaken. Dinner & overnight at Mandara Hut.
Day 3: Mandara – Horombo
Breakfast and departure by 08h00 for Horombo. Picnic lunch at Hona Point, arriving at Horombo Hut (3780m) by 14h00. Explore the surrounding area or take a rest.
Dinner & overnight at Horombo Hut.
Day 4: Rest Day
Spend the day here to acclimatize, with optional excursions around the area.
Dinner & overnight at Horombo Hut.
Day 5: Horombo – Kibo
Breakfast and departure for Horombo by 09h00. Lunch at Saddle Desert at around 13h00 and proceed to Kibo Hut (4750), arriving by 15h00. Dinner & overnight at Kibo Hut.
Day 6: Kibo – Uhuru Peak – Kibo – Horombo
Get up at 24h00 for a light meal and preparations, starting for the peak an hour later. The trail takes you through William’s Point (5000m), Hans Meyer Cave (5150m), Gillman’s Point (5685m). Arrival at Uhuru Peak (5892m) is between 06h00 and 08h00. Descent to Horombo starts half an hour later, arriving at Kibo by 12h30. Take a break and a light meal before proceeding to Horombo Hut, arriving by 18h00. Dinner & overnight at Horombo Hut.
Day 7: Horombo – Marangu – Arusha
Breakfast and departure for Marangu by 09h00, arriving at Marangu Gate by 14h00. After certificate awards and refreshments, transfer to Arusha.
Dinner & overnight at The Arusha Hotel.
Day 8: Arusha – Tarangire
Breakfast followed by briefing on your safari program and departure for Tarangire with picnic lunch boxes. Full day game drive in Tarangire National Park. Proceed to Lake Manyara for dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Hotel.
Day 9: Ngorongoro
Breakfast and departure for Ngorongoro Crater with picnic lunch boxes for full day game viewing. Late afternoon ascent to the crater rim for dinner & overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge.
Day 10: Serengeti
Breakfast and departure for Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch boxes; game viewing en route. Evening check in at lodge followed by dinner & overnight at Seronera Wildlife Lodge.
Day 11: Serengeti
Breakfast followed by full day game viewing in Serengeti. Picnic lunch or hot lunch at the lodge.
Dinner & overnight at Seronera Wildlife Lodge.
Day 12: Serengeti
Breakfast followed by full day game viewing in Serengeti. Picnic lunch or hot lunch at lodge.
Dinner & overnight at Seronera Wildlife Lodge.
Day 13: Olduvai Gorge – Arusha
Breakfast and departure for Olduvai Gorge. Visit of archaeological site and museum. Proceed to Arusha. Dinner & overnight at The African Tulip Hotel.
Day 14: Departure
Breakfast, at leisure, followed by transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for home flight.
